  • This paper presents a review on the finite time thermodynamics for energy systems (including heat engines, refrigerators, heat pumps, chemical reactions and some other processes) with respect to the following aspects: the study of Newton's law systems, an analysis of thermal resistance and other irreversible loss models as well as finite reservoirs and source-type reservoirs, and finally, the application of thermodyliamic machinery design and its evaluation.
