  • A brief review onaerodynamic combination control for aerospace vehicles flightthrough atmosphere is presented in this paper. The combinationcontrol, an important and reasonable solution for flight controland including jet thrust and aerodynamic force and momentum byfins, have been successfully applied to aerospace vehicles. Themost complex problems are induced by interaction between jetthrust and fin's force, where new complex flowfields are formeddue to the jet flow impacting on the upstream incoming flow. Inthis paper, the formation of complex flows and the flowfieldstructures are presented, and the effects of interactive flowfieldon aerodynamic performances are predicted to facilitate vehiclecontrol system.Related research works have been conducted in three aspects:theoretical modeling and numerical simulations, groundexperimental simulations and flight test. In order to studysimilarity parameters and analyze their applicability to groundexperimental results, it is necessary to build similar relationsbetween the ground experiment and the flight condition. However, there are still many challenges involving some difficult unsolvedproblems in aerodynamics, and thus relevant requirements forovercoming these difficulties are enumerated at the end of thispaper.
