Blasting vibration is the main part of blast pollution and should be controlled in engineering. Blasting vibration control technique based on full time-history prediction of blasting vibration is an active way to control the vibration and has a good prospect in application. In this paper the development and application of the blasting vibration full time-history prediction are discussed and 他the advantages and disadvantages of different prediction models are compared. The theoretical study, experimental research and engineering application of the two typical active control techniques, i.e. vibration reduction method applying waveform interference and spectral control method, are introduced. And the advantages and some application examples of blasting vibration control under electronic initiating condition are described in detail. The problems in need of further studies are pointed out at the end of the paper.
