Aeroelastic stability in the form of blade flutter is a major concern for designers in the field of turbomachinery. This paper presents a review of the research and development on blade flutter models, including unsteady aerodynamic modeling, structural modeling and flutter prediction methods. Based on the introduction of these models, the fundamental mechanism and effects of different treatments are discussed. In the end, some questions about the research of flutter and the works about fluid-solid coupling model are pointed out, which should be paid attention to in future.
