  • According to achievement from theory, numerical modeling and experiment, in the paper a comparatively detail review is done to research progress in basic mechanical characteristic and design theory of elementary structure of RPC. On the base of analyzing investigation significance in engineering and theory towards reactive powder concrete, the author introduces basic mechanic characteristic of RPC specimen, influence of different components in concrete on mechanic characteristic of specimen, mechanic property in the condition of dynamic loading, design theory of RPC elementary structure, and probes into flaw and problem needed imperatively to solve. It is indicate that design theory of RPC elementary structure and failure characteristic of RPC frame in longer span of future is significant research points.
