In the fields of civilengineering and earthquake engineering, soil and structure dynamicinteraction is a research hotspot. It is very important toproperly simulate the mechanical performance of soil-structureinterface in the numerical analyses of soil and structure dynamicinteraction. In this paper, some conclusions are drawn byanalyzing the research status in this field. First, technicaldevices need to be developed and test technologies be improved sothat the real mechanical state of Soil-Structure contact could beperfectly revealed. And then, the study on mechanical performancesand failure mechanism could be deepened with the help of newlydeveloped test technologies and new test results of Soil-Structureinterfaces, in which emphasis should be laid on the rate-dependentmechanical characteristics. Finally, improvement of numericalsimulation methods highlighted by the achievements mentioned aboveis now desirable and feasible. To sum up, all the three stepstogether form one of the future trends in the research ofSoil-Structure dynamic contact.
