  • Study on boiling heattransfer has attracted more and more attentions due to its safeand efficient utilization of energy sources. In this paper, anoverview of recent advances in the area of boiling heat transferis presented, and basic fractal geometry theory is introduced.Several fractal models for the nucleate pool boiling, subcooledflow boiling, CHF and nanofluids boiling heat transfer arereviewed, summarized and discussed. Finally, comments andsuggestions are made with respect to further development in thisnew frontier.
