  • Dispersed multiphaseflows denote gas-particle (gas-solid), liquid-particle(liquid-solid), liquid-bubble, gas-spray, andbubble-liquid-particle flows. This kind of flows is widelyencountered in power, aeronautic, astronautic, chemical andmetallurgical, transportation, hydraulic and nuclear engineering.The recent advancements in both domestic and internationalfundamental studies are discussed, including studies onfluiddynamic forces acting on particles/droplets/bubbles,particle-particle, droplet-droplet and bubble-bubble collisions,gas-particle and bubble-liquid turbulence interactions as well asa variety of numerical simulations, such as Reynolds averagedsimulation, large-eddy simulation and direct numerical simulationof dispersed multiphase flows, where the results obtained by thepresent author are also covered. And important key issues to beresearched are finally summarized.
