REVIEW ON THE BUBBLE DYNAMICS BASED ON BOUNDARY INTEGRAL METHOD

  • In recent years, theboundary integral method (BIM) has been widely applied to bubbledynamics simulations. Thus, this paper reviews on the applicationsand developments of the boundary integral method and relevanttechniques adopted in the bubble dynamics simulation. First, theimportance of bubbles and the application of the boundary integralmethod are reviewed. Secondly, the simulation of bubble dynamicsis discussed, including the whole evolving process from the simplyconnected region before the jet hitting to the doubly connectedregion after the jet hitting, in the light of axisymmetric modeland three-dimensional model respectively. Then follows the sectiondescribing two key techniques used in the bubble dynamicssimulation. Finally, the research progress of the bubble dynamicsclose to the boundary is summarized and some problems to beresolved are pointed out.
