PROGRESS OF THE STUDY ON THERMAL STRESS OF HEAT-RESISTING FUNCTIONALLY GRADIENT MATERIALS

The concept and the development background of functionally gradient materials (FGM) are introduced in the paper. The thermal stress research results of FGM are reviewed and the development trends in the area are discussed. The current status of the research and the application prospects of thermal stress analysis of FGM are reviewed.
