The conviction of porous media concerns chiefly with flow of fluid through porous media due to temperature difference. In this paper, the importance of this problem and its development in the last fifty years are reviewed.Particularly, studies on convective oscillatory instability, hifurcation and chaos in the last ten years are discussed.
