This paper reviews the new method, technique and devices of meas-suring the mechanical properties of soft tissues, such as skin, muscous membrane,muscle, tendon,nerve and blood vessel etc. The differences of biornechanicalproperties between in the matcrial vivo and that in vitro .are discussed. It isconcluded that the experimental method of biomechanics in vivo is important forelinical applications .
