The numerical simulation of explosive compaetion of powder has beensystematically reviewed in this paper,The model equations and computationalmethods of the motion of Hydro-Elasto-plastic body are described together withsome typical computer codes.Recent progresses on the numerical simulation ofpowder explosive compaction are summarized. Finally some suggestions for futuredevelopment trend are put forward.
