Abstract

Abstract

Beginning with the: background of engineering applications and the research characteristics of the dynamic plastic response of structures, this article outlines recent developments in the topic. Several fundamental theoretical problems and research methods of current interest on dynamic plastic response are reviewed, and the problems which remain to be solved in numerical and approximate analysis are also suggested.
