  • This paper summarizes the work on a number of bamboo reinforced plastic composite materials (BRPs) developed by the authors. Their (BRPs) mechanical characteristics as well as microstructure were investigated. The exp-perimental evaluation shows that BRPs possess favorable properties. The effects of bamboo species, scale of reinforcement, constituent of matrix and processing condition on mechanical properties of BRPs are obvious.
