Abstract: In this paper, first of all, a review is madc on some importantachievements in the studies of viscous fingering phenomena in literature, toge-ther with a iiscussion on the simulation with Hele-Shaw device and in the bedof three-dimensional porous media. Consequently, the basic concepts of fractaland its applications in the studies of viscous fingering phenomena in recentyears are introduced. Finally, some suggestions for the research on viscousfingering and fractal are made.
