Abstract:
Spiral wave is a classical example of spatiotemporalpattern, and is important both theoretically and in practice. Itconcerns various fields, such as mathematics, physics,mechanics, astronomy, chemistry, biology, medicine. In this paper,dynamical behaviors of spiral waves are discussed, which include theformation of spiral wave, common forms of spiral wave, the motion of the tipand the breakup of spiral wave. Spiral wave and spatiotemporal chaos areharmful in some actual systems, so their controls are necessary. Thecontrol of spiral wave can be realized by feedback signals and externalforces, and by the adjustment of parameters.
