SIMILARITY SOLUTIONS OF THE NAVIER-STOKES EQUATIONS

摘要: 综述了Navier-Stokes方程的相似解,表明几乎所有已知的非线性相似解都可以通过伸缩变换的方法得到.论述了相似解所需要满足的条件: 定常解下,速度或与坐标成正比或与坐标成反比; 非定常解的存在,还依赖于某些特殊的时间关系.

Abstract: Similarity solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations arereviewed. It is shown that the method of stretching leads to all existing significant nonlinear solutions. The steady state solutions areeither inversely proportional or proportional to distance. The unsteadysolutions have a very specific time dependence.-
