Abstract: Experimental investigations of separated-and-reattaching flow of several typical geometry configUrations have been reviewed, such as backward (or forthward) facing step, T-shape structure, axisymmetric bluff body, etc. Behaviors of separation flow field produced by. different models have been compared with each other, with respect to their intrinsic relation. The effect of flow parameters on the flow field were discussed, and some issues which should be solved and developed are presented.
