Abstract: In recent years, the study of static and dynamic buckling is a very active research field. In this paper some fundamental problems such as buckling classification, characteristic of dynamic buckling and its characteristic parameters are summarized, the recent advances and the methodology are introduced, other related problems to be concerned about such as dynamic buckling criterion, model analysis and experimental technology are briefly discussed and reviewed.
