ADVANCES OF THE STUDIES ON CHAPLYGIN'S EQUATIONS

This paper presents some recent developments of the studies on theChaplygin's equations of nonholonomic mechanical. systems, which include the generalizations of the form of the equations, their algebraic and geometricrepresentations, integration theory of the equations,inverse problem of dynamics,stability of motion.This paper also offers some suggestions for a futureinvestigation.
